Sporting Life Bar is run by two guys who love bars. Our aim is simple: “a nice bar for a nice neighborhood.” We want our guests to love our great food, great drinks including beers from all over the world – and of course great sports viewing. Our display of 24 60” plasma TV screens was computer-designed so that every seat in the house is “the best seat in the house.” We also have two giant projection screens for the Big Games, one up in our Skybox.
We used a lot of reclaimed wood for a comfortable, lived-in feel. The bar top, of Honduran mahogany, used to be the basketball court floor of the Downtown L.A. Y.M.C.A., built around 1920. The huge redwood beams in our games area came from a water tank that had been standing in a Connecticut field for a hundred years. We have table tops of hemlock, Douglas Fir, and red and white oak from a Pennsylvania barn.
A great bar is the heart of the community. We have trivia nights, darts tournaments, slot tournaments and special events – such as our Superbowl hog roast. We are honored to have won over a dozen awards since opening in April 2014, including Sports Bar of the Year 2014 and 2015, Las Vegas Weekly.
